Wood Heating

There’s nothing like a toasty fire in your living room when it’s cold outside, listening to the pop and crackle of the blaze, or watching its flames dance and sway. We carry many different stoves, fireplaces, and accessories designed for using wood, or pellets. We have a great variety of wood and pellet stoves available.  Feel free to browse through the information on the models we have listed.

Freestanding Wood Stoves

“Home is where the Hearth is.” A freestanding stove is one that stands on some kind of hearth, as opposed to being slid into a fireplace or built into a wall. They burn wood logs, as opposed to gas or pellets. The heat you get with wood is on another level, it’s a different kind of heat.

Fireplace Inserts

A fireplace insert goes into an existing  fireplace.  A stainless steel liner is then run all the way down to it from the top of the chimney, which is topped with a cap.  Finally, a skirt covers the fireplace hole neatly trimming out the stove against the brick.  We have several brands available that make fireplace inserts.

Pellet Stoves

Pellet stoves are desirable for some people because the pellets are easy to handle, and they still get that wood fire glow.  Pellet stoves produce a very warm cozy heat.  Pellet stoves come in freestanding or fireplace inserts. Freestanding pellet stoves go on a hearth.  They have a  hopper, generally on the back, that you fill with pellets, and many come with thermostat options.  Some have battery backup options for power outages. Fireplace insert pellet stoves slide right into fireplaces, having the same characteristics as a normal pellet stove, burning pellets from a hopper.

Pre-fabricated fireplaces add to the atmosphere of virtually any room.  As seen in the pictures below, they are closer to a traditional fireplace than to a wood stove. These zero-clearance units can be installed into existing walls or in a free standing mantel.
